V or We

Yesterday after a meeting, I was talking to Dave who stopped me mid-sentence and asked me did you mean V like Victor or WE. I said WE like Victor, and kept repeating it, without the slightest hint that I was saying WE and not V!!!! Dave finally gave in, and being the “Well Traveled” diverse American that he is, asked me very carefully trying not to offend me, “in you native Tongue isn’t there a difference between V and W..or really V and We”. I thought about something I had never even given a thought to! Embarrassed at first, smiled next and then dug deeper. I finally figured, well neither in Hindi nor Telugu there is not, actually a clear difference between the two!!

Next time I say We like Victor I know who to blame 😉 On a serious note, I started practicing on getting V out of my mouth, and have had little success with it so far 🙂

I feel bad when I think of my little one there…I probably called him WEETO all the while, and he mus’ve thought Dude! its Vito!! 🙂 Why is it so hard to understand for you Desis!

Last weekend was a very good time with Vito, he is learning a li’l bit of the technology I guess, because every time I made a change on the Router he watched intently like saying “Oh! is this how you do it!” and then a quick wet Kiss. Every time I spoke with my Buddy Enrique, who is supposedly my eyes and hands In Mexico (Can’t travel due to budget concerns) Vito would pounce on me and let out a quick whine, like saying Exactly Right!! Except that it was an 80 hour work week and the weekends were not spared, it was great time.

Vito loves the movies, specially when we watch them in my recently completed project The Home theater! Wonder why? Simple, there abundance of food and liquor, its dark and there are a lot of toys to chew on…Remotes..yay! Thats my new frenzie, I love remotes Yum yum!!
The dude loves beer, he drinks scotch at every opportunity he gets, not that I give him any!
He sipped my beer, and chewed on a DVD player remote, while we were all engrossed in the Final Destination! Some how the Remote dodged death at the hands of THE GODFATHER! Final Destination after all! On another note, my 120 inch media room project due for about 6 months is now complete…The 1000+Watt HK speakers shake the room up definitely! The picture quality is great, better than Skyline and Lamba if I may add 😉 wink!

Mondays are so bad! I had to leave again…and I hear from Punnu that Vito was searching all over the house even the restrooms would whine and then sleep with a dull expression. I feel sad for him…But kya Kare…Life dhe Jhamele! This syndrome actually started late Sunday eve, but I cheered him up with a quick wrestling bout, and a ball game. Monday he was like that almost all day, and after I left he just got worse!

Can’t wait for Friday as usual, so I can go back for the weekend….Leaving Dallas made me realize how much I really Love the place!
